Why does it seem that the Brits never manage to make up their minds about anything these days? Even Elizabeth can't work up any enthusiasm for installing the new PM.😀
I have never been a fan of traditional monarchy, including the British one. But, regardless of any flaws, Elizabeth was both likeable and respectable, diligent in her commitment to duty. Her passing is a sad event. At the same time, even with his somewhat progressive views, it is hard to imagine that King Charles will receive even a fraction of the accolade accorded to Queen Elizabeth. And even as a tourist attraction, he just doesn't seem to be that interesting. One cannot help but wonder about the future of the monarchy in England.
